how does one disconnect the macro line form the elbow _________comment please__________

The easiest way is to just use scissors and cut it, lol. No please dont do that!!! Actually its pretty easy, there is a little ring at the end of your elbow, push in on it and pull the macro line out while holding the ring inwards.
